in memory of

Alisha Lynn Picou

21

by Milton Picou Jr.

Bayou Blue, Louisiana
She was shot in the head with a 0.357 magnum. Well [my son Alex] wanted to shoot her boyfriend. Her, him and her boyfriend were fussing and she got in the way to stop her boyfriend and her brother from fussing with each other. And she was facing her boyfriend and she didn’t know [Alex] had the gun. [Alex] came up with the gun at the same time and he shot.

Connection

My daughter, Alisha Lynn Picou. She was my first child and she was my first one gone.

Memories

She loved McDonald’s food. How many kids these days don’t like McDonald’s? She’d always want French fries and nuggets.

Reminders

It’s hard to justify that because I think of her every day. I got a picture on a little tag that I wear around my neck every day. That’s something you’ll never forget.

Wish I could say

If she was alive today, I wish I could tell her I loved her and then sit down and eat some good meals with her.
