in memory of

Chad Ingram

by Barry Ingram

Raceland, Louisiana
He was going through a shortcut to get to my house. He was confronted by someone that lived like a house or two down from the cut; this young guy. This was some kind of issue he had with my brother, and he had already planned this out; he was going to confront him with a gun. And my brother ain’t ever been no one to really back down from nobody, so I guess they got into it, he pulled out the gun, and he shot my brother, I think eight times.

Connection

My brother

Memories

My favorite memory was every morning, on weekends, me and him would come outside, we’d meet, in the yard, and talk about stuff. He had given me advice on a lot of things that went on, things that I’d be going through.

Reminders

I really just think about them all the time, I always think about them, you know?

Wish I could say

If they was alive I wish I could see both of them, spend some time with them, and tell them I love them.
