I don’t know if it could replace therapy… I think it could like help people find resources more than anything. Because you can go on ChatGPT and look up coping mechanisms for dealing with the loss of something or someone. And I think that’s a good starting point for anybody.
In my field, I think they can try. I don’t know how successful they would be because you can’t recreate a conversation with a real person face-to-face. You can text ChatGPT about, you know, what’s going on in your life and it can imitate human emotions as much as possible but there’s no recreating what human interaction has to offer.
I absolutely do think there are concerns with misinformation being spread… I think misinformation would be my biggest concern because knowledge and intelligence has to be one of the most powerful tools that humans can acquire. And I think when you start asking artificial intelligence these questions about things… they could be pulling that information from anywhere.
