I would say yes. Not like super directly because I don’t live right along the coast. But the effects of hearing all my life that, “oh yeah, eventually all of this will be covered in water.” And just hurricanes getting worse and worse, and the insurance cost to live here keeps getting worse. And it’s because coastal erosion is definitely a part of that.
I don’t I’m probably doing anything; I should! But I don’t think, currently, I can think of anything directly. But I do feel like, in general, we should be pushing for these organizations to get funded. Like more funds to help stop or at least slow down coastal erosion; so people can still live here for the foreseeable future and have families, live lives, and not live in fear of everything going away and getting worse.
