I’m playing with it and I’m learning more and more about it, but it hasn’t been useful yet for me
What skills do you believe are important for students to develop if they want to work with the AI?
Ethics is probably number one with that because it’s gonna keep growing and it’s gonna do amazing things. Just going back a little bit I think AI is a great research tool.
It can help you do a lot of things, but it’s just like everything else came along the typewriter came along. It made life easier when computers came along, it made life easier and we could be a little more creative with it. So as long as we use it as a tool, I think that that’s where we need to go with it. But I forgot the question was.
Just what skills are okay, okay. Well, the skills would be ethics, but also uh the skills would be too AI’s given you the skills AI is giving us you don’t have to type anymore because you can speak into a computer. So I think AI’s going to allow us to focus more on creativity instead of learning the technical skills on how to do things, because AI can do that part for you if you have the creative mind to feed it into the computer.
I’m currently taking a course in AI having to do with teaching and journalism, and I’m learning a lot of the different things it can do, but I think my key takeaway is all the manipulation you can do with photos or even with video nowadays that look real.
How do you receive the relationship between AI and privacy?
I’m not sure as far as privacy goes because our privacy concerns were always getting information on people that was private. I’m not sure AI helps with that, but AI will put words in people’s mouths because you can change a video or or even, you know, write things or put people in images.
So I’m not sure if that’s a privacy issue or if it’s wrong, you know to say. So I’m not sure as far as privacy what the concerns there would be.
