Favorite Youth Activity/Spot
“The Lagniappe on Bayou Fair was a community event held in Chauvin, LA. It brought people from the bayou region together to enjoy a weekend of rides, local food, music, and an overall good time.”
Favorite Youth Memory
“My favorite memory was seeing the people I grew up with coming together to have a good time — it created a culture of service. The region was filled with church fairs growing up (’90s). The Lagniappe Fair (Chauvin, LA) was bigger than the Thibodaux Fireman’s Fair of today. E.D. White used to have a fair, Vanderbilt used to have a fair, St. Francis used to have a fair all the churches had their own fairs. It was a huge component to our community.”
