What is your understanding of artificial intelligence?
The only prior experience I had before the big AI boom is using things like Grammarly or predictive text. So, I’ve never really jumped into the generative AI which is really the one that can write for you until more recently. Trying to learn more about it because it’s being used all over now.
What ethical concerns do you think arise from the use of AI?
There’s definitely an ethical aspect to it because these AI tools could be taking other people’s work and giving it to you so that you can pass it off as your own. It’s just some ethical concerns there that I’m worried about.
How do you feel about the potential of AI replacing jobs in the future?
I don’t see it happening. And libraries have been facing this problem for a long time. And yet, we’re still here. So, I don’t think it will be an issue of replacement. It’s going to be adapting. The roles of your job may change a little bit but you still need humans feeding and evaluating the AI.
